Frequently, I am asked what type of bowl or dish do we use to feed a Persian cat or kitten. What works for one cat might not work for another. However, with that said, a flat faced Persian cat or kitten may have a more difficult time eating. Recently a kitten was having difficulty eating because she kept pushing her food off of the plate. For this little cutie pie, we were able to assist her by simply changing her food dish. Sometimes it's more about trial and error. As a Persian cat breeder, we recommend using stainless steel bowls or ceramic.
Ceramic pet bowls are heavier and typically have less chance for spillage.
There are a lot of great cat food and water dishes available on the market. It may take a few food dish changes to find the right one for your Persian, Himalayan or Exotic Shorthair cat.
Here's an example of the ceramic pet bowl that worked in this example.
